Surreal Quote
"Beautiful as the chance meeting on a dissecting table of a sewing machine and and umbrella."
I do not quite remember the author of this fabulous quote in which I find amazingly beautiful itself, but I do know that any artist whether they write or make the surreal piece of artwork amazing like this quote, really do have large imaginations.
We were currently doing a surreal art unit in my art class at school and I have actually come to find it interesting. I will now, whenever I see something artistic, I look closely and think to myself whether it's surreal or not, same with text and such. I think I am almost becoming obsessed! Well, maybe not.
Surreal art is dream like art or sometimes I come to think of it as a collage. Here are a couple of examples below of surreal art that I enjoy a lot.
Surrealism: The art is of something, an idea, but it is created with uses of another source or idea. (That is my thought about Surreal Art!) These are two of my favorite pieces of surrealism by my favorite surreal artist Vladimir Kush!

"Hat Shop"
This book is titled Hat Shop: 25 Projects to Sew, from Practical to Fascinating.
I will definitely be making the one one the cover! There are twenty five projects to sew (obviously) and they come with complete directions and patterns.
I haven't gotten around to it yet, and I have to re-check this book out from the library, but I can't wait to pull out my machine and get started! When I am finished with sewing one of these, I will be sure to post!

Sweet Spring
Supposed to be an Easter card, my girl Tianna had made this for her grandmother (with my help.) It is very spring like and I just love it. She did an awesome job! She used a variety of green pallet colors. We originally wanted to use one initial color from the green swatches. Turns out, we used three, one we created ourselves!
Stamps: "God is Love": from "Trust God" stamp set. Butterflies: "Bloomin' Marvelous" set.
Papers:Primrose Petals, Whisper White, and Crumb Cake.
Other:Wild Wasabi ribbon-can't think of the type, and a Round Paper Doily.
This entire card was used with products of Stampin' Up!
